Day 21 - Past Sixty, Still Clicking: Soon Leaving the Barbarian Waters

Alright, people — I started today with a strong wish to finish all the feathers needed for another Fishing level, and the last of this grind! I also managed to stack four box scrolls and solve them, bringing my total to 63 reward caskets! 🎉


There’s something else I wanted to share: I know I can stack box scrolls by training my combat skills, but the main reason I’m not doing that is because I already have plenty of motivation to level combat — both for the loot and the action-packed experience itself. It’s just more dynamic. But for the other skills — most of which I’ve already maxed out as a F2P in terms of unlockable content — this clue scroll hunt is what’s giving them new life. It makes these slower skills more exciting and worth doing.

Yay! I just got to level 85 Cooking, and right after that, while chopping a tree for just one log, I finally got what I’d been fantasizing about for days — a box scroll with that single log. 😂 It was such a cute and oddly poetic moment. That small reward made me really happy!


Oh well — I might not have finished fishing today like I had hoped, but it was still a fun session. I made progress, got XP, and even had a mini scroll-solving session. I’ll see you all tomorrow, and hopefully, we’ll be jumping into a new setting or adventure together.

Today I am finally starting fresh as a free-to-play user, and after looking and staring for some seconds at my skill levels, I realized I am in the mood for grinding one of, if not the most, boring skills for me: woodcutting.  Nevertheless, I still find lots of joy while I accumulate four clue scrolls at the time, and actually, with the latest change for making fire, I find this activity sort of comforting, while being AFK.  I have to say that having just now a new level also contributed to the motivation.  Also, I noticed I've got 32 reward caskets, which happens to be my current age. First ever post - where my player is currently :)

 Thursday, 3rd of July - 2025. Hello there! I finally decided to start blogging (for the first time) and share my experiences while playing Old School Runescape (OSRS) in Free to play (F2P) mode, with my account 'Donguri15'.  I love Runescape, and I love birds. Welcome to my blog: The Feathered Grind.  :)  Today, I've been working on leveling up one level of runecrafting. This might be the most tedious skill to work on, at least for me. It can become a bit slow, so I decided to mix it up with something that gives me some motivation. That is gold ore. That's right, I am currently 70 on runecrafting, and in the desert of Al Kharid, I am converting 5,000 rune essences into fire runes. So these two gold ores are the ones that I go for after making some fire runes. Rooftopping until 80 in Pollnivneach

 Tuesday 6 January, 2026 9:30. Good morning, everyone! Today I've decided to work hard and get the level 80 in Agility. Earlier, I thought it would be enough until level 70 to enter the Taverley Dungeon and fight Black Demons, but no. So, since I still have five more days to use my membership bond, I think I can manage it, so today I'll be locked in the town of Pollnivneach, which is near Al Kharid, and is also located within the desert.  Alright everyone, I have just reached level 73 agility and i think I'll leave it for today in this post. I had a big gap without playing today since I had a migraine and also internet was off. Maybe I'll still grind a bit today but for sure reaching level 80 will at least take me two more days I feel. Still, I don't hate at all this skill and I am actually enjoying it :) take care and see you next time!
