First ever post - where my player is currently :)

 Thursday, 3rd of July - 2025.

Hello there! I finally decided to start blogging (for the first time) and share my experiences while playing Old School Runescape (OSRS) in Free to play (F2P) mode, with my account 'Donguri15'.

I love Runescape, and I love birds. Welcome to my blog: The Feathered Grind.

 :)

Today, I've been working on leveling up one level of runecrafting. This might be the most tedious skill to work on, at least for me. It can become a bit slow, so I decided to mix it up with something that gives me some motivation. That is gold ore. That's right, I am currently 70 on runecrafting, and in the desert of Al Kharid, I am converting 5,000 rune essences into fire runes.

So these two gold ores are the ones that I go for after making some fire runes. For whenever there is somebody else mining them, I just go for the iron ores next to them, and wait until the gold appears available again.

You see that 70 in runecrafting? Yes, yes, that is the one I'm going to turn to 71, and I can't wait for it to happen, so I can then go for any combat levelling (after a long runecrafting levelling, I really start wanting to kill some monsters and have some action!).

I have to admit I totally love this place. As soon as you enter this mysterious ruin, the fire altar, you forget you were in a wide and arid desert.

Finally, I use the furnace of Al Kharid to make gold bars, and then bank them as well as the fire runes.

So, while I am doing this, I think that for the next time I go levelling up in runecrafting, I would like to try another method. I think that if I collect the body cores by killing Body Golems in the Ruins of Camdozaal, then I can do as many trips as possible or as needed to the Body altar, and I can gain experience more powerfully. I am not sure of this, but what I am sure of is that I really would like to be inside the Ruins of Camdozaal, since the setting is crazy cool and beautiful.

I will let you know in my next post what I'll do. But for the moment, I wanted to just put out here that I want to commit myself to blogging non-stop for the next month. I am currently in a situation in my life where I can have time to stay at home and play for a long time, and so I believe this is a good time to start this creative and new project. I want to keep enjoying my favorite game while sharing it and see what journey it uncovers. Also, I just wanted to clarify that I don't consider myself an expert in OSRS. I sort of consider myself a casual gamer, who, little by little, is getting to understand many ways of playing this game.

During these posts, you can expect not only my rambling about the activities I'm doing, but also opinions about them, doubts, and interesting facts. I believe that the more I try to share things, the better I will get at understanding them, and so improve my gameplay. For years, I feel I have been restricted to doing very low-risk things. But I am discovering I have skipped so much content, even as a free player!

As you can see in my skills image above, I only have two skills in their 70s (runecrafting and prayer), and the rest of them are in their 80s. For me, this is a big thing, and I feel very motivated to max all of them for my first time. So, I feel that the final goal with my character 'Donguri15' will be to max all the skills, and the free Quests too. The only quest I am missing is the Shield of Arrav one, but for sure, I will somehow do it, and I hope I can also share it here.

Finally, and I will end my first post with this paragraph, I wanted to say that English is not my native language, but I love it, and want to improve it, so that's why I will write in English; and also, I know this is a blog, and I can write however I feel like, but, I am also seeing this project as a way to improve my communication skills, and writing skills. OK. That's all for today, and I hope you are having a good time. See you tomorrow, scapers :)
