Day #10: New goal coming in — stacking 100 beginner clue scrolls!

Money-making by crafting amulets and smithing adamant armour

So I started doing some smithing and crafting after reaching level 87 in all combat skills — woo! While working on these tasks, I realized I’d love to go hardcore mining (coal, gold, and adamantite) while piling up 100 beginner clue scrolls. I want to fully embrace this new update that allows stacking them, and enjoy the challenge and excitement that comes with clue hunting.

Also, yesterday I used the coins I got from killing Lesser Demons to buy Bandos rune armour pieces — kiteshield, platebody, platelegs, and full helm! I absolutely love how it looks. I’m so happy I finally got them, and it reminds me I still have other rune-style armours to collect. There’s always something new to look forward to as a F2P player, and that keeps things feeling fresh and exciting.

While enchanting tons of ruby amulets, I was also thinking that with all the gp I’m earning in this session, I should check the price of a bond, and maybe aim to buy one. I’ve never really played as a member, and I feel that if I ever do it, I’d love it to be through my own efforts — earned through sweat and blood! Just imagine finally unlocking that huge amount of new content, even if it’s just for a short while.

Also — yay! — while enchanting the amulets, I hit level 82 in Magic! 🪄✨

So, after crafting more than 1,000 amulets of strength, I sold them and made about 1.3 million gp. Next, I’ll finish working through the remaining 3,000 gold ores and rubies, and see what total profit I end up with. Depending on today’s bond price, maybe I’ll even grab one and save it in the bank until I figure out exactly how I want to spend those precious member days.

For today, I couldn’t quite begin the clue scroll session through mining — but hopefully tomorrow will be the day! I’ll see you then, everyone!

 Monday 19 January, 2026 Hello everyone. I feel like I haven't played during long sessions in a while. Today I am finally starting fresh as a free-to-play user, and after looking and staring for some seconds at my skill levels, I realized I am in the mood for grinding one of, if not the most, boring skills for me: woodcutting.  Nevertheless, I still find lots of joy while I accumulate four clue scrolls at the time, and actually, with the latest change for making fire, I find this activity sort of comforting, while being AFK.  I have to say that having just now a new level also contributed to the motivation.  Also, I noticed I've got 32 reward caskets, which happens to be my current age. First ever post - where my player is currently :)

 Thursday, 3rd of July - 2025. Hello there! I finally decided to start blogging (for the first time) and share my experiences while playing Old School Runescape (OSRS) in Free to play (F2P) mode, with my account 'Donguri15'.  I love Runescape, and I love birds. Welcome to my blog: The Feathered Grind.  :)  Today, I've been working on leveling up one level of runecrafting. This might be the most tedious skill to work on, at least for me. It can become a bit slow, so I decided to mix it up with something that gives me some motivation. That is gold ore. That's right, I am currently 70 on runecrafting, and in the desert of Al Kharid, I am converting 5,000 rune essences into fire runes. So these two gold ores are the ones that I go for after making some fire runes. Rooftopping until 80 in Pollnivneach

 Tuesday 6 January, 2026 9:30. Good morning, everyone! Today I've decided to work hard and get the level 80 in Agility. Earlier, I thought it would be enough until level 70 to enter the Taverley Dungeon and fight Black Demons, but no. So, since I still have five more days to use my membership bond, I think I can manage it, so today I'll be locked in the town of Pollnivneach, which is near Al Kharid, and is also located within the desert.  Alright everyone, I have just reached level 73 agility and i think I'll leave it for today in this post. I had a big gap without playing today since I had a migraine and also internet was off. Maybe I'll still grind a bit today but for sure reaching level 80 will at least take me two more days I feel. Still, I don't hate at all this skill and I am actually enjoying it :) take care and see you next time!
