Day #13: Let's get some clue scrolls while mining!


Beginning the clue scroll farming in the Falador Mining Guild

Good day, everyone! I'm officially diving into my new goal of collecting 100 beginner clue scrolls right here in the Falador Mining Guild. Now that I’m getting a feel for how long this grind might take, I’m finding it really enjoyable to pair it with something I love deeply in real life: learning about birds.

Although not directly related to OSRS, I'm a biologist with a huge interest in studying birds. They’ve been the spark of my curiosity in the natural world for years. So during this grind, I’ve been watching and listening to content on bird biology — it’s such a rewarding combo: mining in Gielinor while filling my head with avian facts!

Back to the game — it’s been a couple of hours, and I’ve collected four clue scrolls so far. I’ve decided I’ll stack at least 10 of them before solving. Once completed, I’ll stash the reward caskets in my bank. Let’s see what surprises come from this batch!






🐦 Bird Fact #13: Birds are living dinosaurs!
That’s right — birds are the only living descendants of a group of two-legged dinosaurs known as theropods (the same group that includes the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex). Over millions of years, these ancient creatures evolved feathers, lighter skeletons, and flight capabilities, eventually becoming the birds we know today. So when you see a bird, you’re looking at a modern-day dinosaur!

  • Now sitting at 15.68% progress toward level 92 Mining

  • Stacked 4 beginner clue scrolls and counting — new goal is to reach 10 and crack them open!

 Monday 19 January, 2026 Hello everyone. I feel like I haven't played during long sessions in a while. Today I am finally starting fresh as a free-to-play user, and after looking and staring for some seconds at my skill levels, I realized I am in the mood for grinding one of, if not the most, boring skills for me: woodcutting.  Nevertheless, I still find lots of joy while I accumulate four clue scrolls at the time, and actually, with the latest change for making fire, I find this activity sort of comforting, while being AFK.  I have to say that having just now a new level also contributed to the motivation.  Also, I noticed I've got 32 reward caskets, which happens to be my current age. First ever post - where my player is currently :)

 Thursday, 3rd of July - 2025. Hello there! I finally decided to start blogging (for the first time) and share my experiences while playing Old School Runescape (OSRS) in Free to play (F2P) mode, with my account 'Donguri15'.  I love Runescape, and I love birds. Welcome to my blog: The Feathered Grind.  :)  Today, I've been working on leveling up one level of runecrafting. This might be the most tedious skill to work on, at least for me. It can become a bit slow, so I decided to mix it up with something that gives me some motivation. That is gold ore. That's right, I am currently 70 on runecrafting, and in the desert of Al Kharid, I am converting 5,000 rune essences into fire runes. So these two gold ores are the ones that I go for after making some fire runes. Rooftopping until 80 in Pollnivneach

 Tuesday 6 January, 2026 9:30. Good morning, everyone! Today I've decided to work hard and get the level 80 in Agility. Earlier, I thought it would be enough until level 70 to enter the Taverley Dungeon and fight Black Demons, but no. So, since I still have five more days to use my membership bond, I think I can manage it, so today I'll be locked in the town of Pollnivneach, which is near Al Kharid, and is also located within the desert.  Alright everyone, I have just reached level 73 agility and i think I'll leave it for today in this post. I had a big gap without playing today since I had a migraine and also internet was off. Maybe I'll still grind a bit today but for sure reaching level 80 will at least take me two more days I feel. Still, I don't hate at all this skill and I am actually enjoying it :) take care and see you next time!
