Day #2: Journey from 86 to 87 Attack

Finishing the 70 to 71 Runecrafting session in Al Kharid - Yay!
Finally, today I leveled my Runecrafting to 71! We're officially on the road to the 80's. The trick that made it go smoothly? Combining the training with the mining gold rocks, using tons of energy potions so I was almost always running instead of walking, and of course ... cozy background music. By the way, what kind of music do you usually listen to while gaming? 🎧 I tend to go for jazz, progressive house, or sing-out-loud pop music. ✌

Time to switch gears: Combat mode activated!
Now that I'm done skilling Runecrafting, I'm moving on to train one of my combat stats: Attack, which is currently at level 86. But before I dive into battle, I'm converting all the gold ore I mined into Amulets of strenght to sell as a reward to myself 💰 Let's go!

Crafting Strenght amulets in Edgeville.
I'm planning to craft around 700 Amulets of strenght, which shouldn't take too long. Oh, and what does the (u) in the Ruby amulet (u) stand for? I checked out in the OSRS Wiki and it means "unstrung"! Makes total sense now. You just use a ball of wool to string them and voilà! In total, I had 702 Ruby amulets to turn into Strenght amulets. To enchant them, you'll need: level 49 Magic, and 5 Fire runes + 1 Cosmic rune per amulet.

(you will start noticing some bird facts throughout my posts, hope you like them!)
Bird fact #1🐦: although it changes (fortunately for the better), we can say we share planet Earth with around 11,145 species of birds

Beginning the 86–87 Attack Grind: Ruins of Camdozaal.
I’m currently training at the Ruins of Camdozaal, fighting Body Golems. One cool benefit from a recent game update: you can now stack clue scrolls using Scroll Boxes (Beginner)—super handy! While starting the combat session, I sold all my Amulets of strenght and made 906k GP! With that, I put an offer at the GE for 6,000 coal. Once they’re in, I’ll smelt and smith them with adamant ores and bars.

Style Check! Dragonstone Armor Thoughts 👾
I’ve decided to wear my Dragonstone armor for the first 50% of the grind. Is it a bit... over-the-top? Maybe 😅 But I’ll enjoy the look while switching things up midway for variety.

Grinding Tips & Side Goals
Since it’ll likely take a day or two more to hit level 87, I’m mixing things up with mini-objectives:
  1. Smelting Bars: Use the ores dropped by golems (tin, copper, iron) + Superheat spell for Magic & Smithing XP.

  2. Barronite Buffs: Every hour, I go to Ramaro to trade 1,000 Barronite shards for a temporary buff to increase my chances of getting a Barronite Guard. (and precisely, no, I did not get one barronite guard soon after this; BUT TWO! O.O)

I also came up with a new mini-system: Whenever I collect 5 clue scrolls, I’ll pause Attack training and go to Varrock to:

  • Solve clues

  • Sell bronze and iron armor
    💡 A fun break + extra money-making method!
