Day 29 – Fishing, Scrolls, and the Path to 85 Range

Another long and peaceful day of fishing in Karamja. I focused on catching lobsters, and slowly but surely, the pile grew. I also reached level 84 Fishing, which felt great! I love watching my skills tick upward one by one (…except Runecrafting, which still sits stubbornly at 71 — but we don’t talk about that, do we?).

In between fishing, I did two sessions of box scrolls, opening them right away. I didn’t get anything particularly rare or valuable this time, but these little detours are still refreshing and fun — they give a nice rhythm to the grind.

By the end of the day, I had banked a nice stock of food:
649 swordfish735 tuna, and 822 raw lobsters!

I’m hoping this will be enough to power me through the next chapter of my Ranging grind with the Ogresses. I was aiming to hit level 85 Range with this batch, but it might not quite be enough… We’ll see. For now, I’ll focus on cooking the lobsters, and tomorrow, arrows will fly again.

🪶 Bird Fact of the Day

Did you know that some birds decorate their nests? In particular, species like bowerbirds and even some urban crows are known to gather colorful or shiny objects to adorn the area around their nests. This behavior can help attract mates or deter predators by creating visual distractions. In more subtle ways, other birds use lichenmoss, or even flower petals to line their nests — sometimes for camouflage, insulation, or possibly even antibacterial benefits. It’s a quiet reminder that nest-building isn’t just survival… it can be art, too.

See you tomorrow, adventurer!

May your fires stay lit, your scrolls bless you with riches, and your arrows fly true. Rest your boots by the bank chest tonight — the grind resumes with sunrise 🌞🐟🛏️
